Splinter Cell Conviction deviates from the original series in quite a substantial way, but keeps its soul is intact. It's still very much a Splinter Cell game, just faster paced and more streamlined. The immersion in the world is fantastic, and the gameplay enjoyable, despite the rather predictable story. Any other nit you could pick with this add-on--the way the black-and-white effect might make it difficult to see what's going on, for example--is a carryover from the main game and barely affects the incredibly high quality of what's on offer here. Not just because every time you play through a level you can do it differently, but also because its so fun to play over and over. The unique blend of stealth and action really shine in this game, and it never tires. But then there’s the many different Deniable Ops and Co-op modes. Read more

Short and sweet; simple and effective. A character driven story and a lot of innovative game play. Attention to detail makes up for short lived and almost shallow narratives. This is a rare case of a game in which everything exists to strengthen the story and character. Replay value exists in the form of challenge modes. Pros A very polished package of stealth gameplay and interactive storytelling. Fantastic characterisation. Read more
