And it's even more unfortunate that there's no way to face off with your friends in aerial combat or stunt competitions. Dark Void offers only a single-player campaign, and the story has enough intrigue to keep you mildly interested throughout. Overall Dark Void is playable, but don’t expect any epic adventures of any real challenge or length. You’ll play it thru once… twice if you are an achievement whore. Read more
At the end of the day it may be trite and an unfunny pun, but unless you’re a massive fan of Battlestar Galactica and have the ability to put shonky gameplay to the side, I’ll offer this one piece of advice… Avoid the Void. Read more
Dark Void is a game that doesn’t know what it wants to be. It starts off great for a few minutes, before coming back down to Earth to provide a generic and bland experience, filled with gameplay and presentation issues. It’s not as focused on air combat as you’d think from looking at the cover art, but is instead nothing more than a typical third-person action try-hard, hoping to be placed up there with the likes of both Uncharted titles.
