    Far Cry: Instincts is an exceptionally well done first-person shooter that uses the PC version of the game as the building-blocks for a unique console experience that stands on its own as a title worthy of your time. The streamlined gameplay and tight narrative are worlds removed from the original game, but it will leave you feeling like this is the way it should always have been. Read more

    • stunning visuals & framerate to match, great use of sound & dialogue, map editor + Xbox Live = unlimited goodness
    • A.I. is as dumb as a brick, no adjustable difficulty settings, some people experiencing audio glitches

    It's one of the best looking games on the Xbox, and its a lot different than most of the other first person shooters available on the market. Although there are alot of minor issues, on the whole it is a fantastic package, and the online and level editor should ensure you get your moneys worth out of it. Read more

    • Some of the best graphics on the Xbox with great little touches and effects, feral abilities, immersive atmosphere, open and epic levels, great attention to detail, me...
    • Control issues, vehicles aren't all that solid, very basic enemy A.I., story is pretty stereotypical, user created maps.

    Porting PC games and franchises to a console has always been a very hit and miss affair over the years. Some have got it right, Doom 3 for example, regardless of its quality, remained pretty much intact in comparison to its PC brother. Rainbow Six 3 is another, which despite have a few gameplay related changes, shared most of the maps and weaponry from the PC version. Read more

    The levels may be too long for some, but otherwise Far Cry Instincts has something for everyone. The best graphics on Xbox, great fun and varied gameplay. I sincerely consider it to be one of the best FPS games ever made. Read more
