Fable is its own tagline: For every choice, a consequence. Big Blue Box and Lionhead chose to water down the original vision that was Project Ego; a daring, ambitious project set to revolutionize the way we role-play. The consequence is Fable; a shallow, superficial experience that pales in comparison to its potential and promises. Nevertheless, Fable is still a fantastic RPG, with some of the best visuals and action-packed combat on the Xbox to date. Read more

It has spent seemingly forever in development, under several different names, with designer Peter Molyneux determined to incorporate as many of his lofty goals as possible into the game.
