Ultimately, The House of the Dead: Overkill is a breath of fresh air in a well-trod genre. It's incredibly fun and entertaining despite its shortcomings. With a hilarious cast of heroes and villains, brilliant writing and voice acting, and some of the best visuals available on the system, Overkill is one game that no hardcore Wii and a penchant for over-the-top amounts of gore and swearing should miss. Very funny. At last a grown up title for the wii! Excellent writing and dialogue. Read more

    • Awesome cutscenes. Very funny. At last a grown up title for the wii! Excellent writing and dialogue. Really fun as a multiplayer game with a bunch of mates.

However, in accepting the Wii's limitations and using its cruder graphics to craft a unique mood, the latest House Of The Dead blaster stands head and shoulders above its hallowed forebears.
