  • ranked players, thrilling level design, long lasting, fun and intense co, fantastic storyline
  • terrible multiplayer, trophy problems, occasional awkward camera angles, a little bit short, repetitive enemies

Nathan Drake is back, as gaming’s most charismatic hero tries to solve the mystery of Marco Polo’s last voyage (and earn himself a fortune in treasure at the same time). The original was one of the first games to really prove the power of the PS3, but this sequel is another huge leap forward.

    Uncharted 2 is quite possibly the best video game we've played in years, and is certainly on a technical level. If you don't buy this game then you're really missing out on the best the PS3 has to offer. Sensational! Read more

    The majority of your quest is made up of these combat or platforming sections, but there are thoughtful puzzles you must solve as well. These quiet moments are not as entertaining as the action sequences, but they have their own charm. Here, you must perform such tried-and-true tasks as reflecting a beam of light onto a specific surface or placing ornamental blocks onto the correct squares, but there is a twist to the formula that gives Drake even more personality....     Uncharted 2: Among Thieves isn’t quite perfect, but it’s pretty damn close. It does a sensational job of introducing you to the characters and executing an interesting story right from the get-go. The improvements in the gameplay make it substantially better than its predecessor and there is a great balance between the combat, puzzles and platforming.     I purchased this game as it was Game of the Year for 2009 (As per Good Game - ABC). I was expecting huge things from this game, as I had just put most of my last month of gaming time into COD-MW2. COD-MW2 was runner up to Uncharted 2 for game of the year.
