At E3 2005 we were introduced to Killzone 2.  Sony showed pre-rendered footage but offered no explanation beyond the promise that it would look as good as the CGI being … Read more

There's a stellar action game here, and it'll keep you on your toes for awhile, I'd just like to see more done with franchise in the future. Read more

    • Incredible visuals running at a solid 30fps, Stunning art-direction, Vehicular segments are great fun, Enemy AI is quite challenging, Tons of replay thanks to multiplayer
    • Controls feel overly complicated and convoluted, Level design often negates the ferocity of skirmishes, No team commands and your AI buds can't revive you, Ridiculous ...

It's a real pity that there is so little context for the exceptional action. If you're familiar with the original Killzone, you'll at least have an idea why the ISA (International Strategic Alliance) is attacking the Helghast homeworld; if not, it's clear that as Thomas Sevchenko, you are on the side of the good guys--just not clear why they the good guys. • Well-paced campaign keeps you in the thick of action, Great online play constantly rewards you, Intricate, balanced multiplayer maps, Weapons are beefy and fun to shoo...
    • Forgettable story and characters, Tacked-on motion controls.

Everyone except me likes this game, so listen to them instead. Go out and buy it. Have fun shooting the British Nazis and feel free to say "That Matt guy doesn't know anything! This game is great!" while avoiding any concept of thought for a few hours. Whatever. Like I care. Pros Exceptional graphics. Gritty combat. Probably has good Multiplayer but I can't be sure. Um... that's about it. Cons Offers nothing new to the genre. Story is sub-par. Read more

    • Offers nothing new to the genre. Story is sub-par. Incredibly cliched dialogue between uninteresting and undeveloped characters. Rico. What a douche.

Killzone 2 features superb visuals and extremely intense battles. It's not quite Halo or Gears of War but it comes fairly close. There are other games of this genre out there that have more compelling storylines and better single player campaign modes. Having said that, Killzone 2 will take you on an explosive and gripping journey across the Helghast planet that will sure to test even the most experienced players. Read more

Developed by Amsterdam-based Guerrilla, Killzone PS3 is a military first-person shooter that builds upon the 2004 PlayStation title. A non-linear and intensely cinematic gameplay experience that combines elements from multiple genres, Killzone thrusts players even deeper into the conflict between the ISA and Helghast. Set in a rich and highly interactive world, the game aims to set the benchmark for facial and character animation, advanced physics, destructible enviro…
