    There's little doubt that this will likely be one of the last, if not the last true 'must have' game on the PS2. God of War 2 is a blast from start to finish and an essential addition to every PS2 collection - even if you have moved to 'next-gen' systems. Read more

    Despite the attention on next generation consoles, God of War II shows that the Playstation 2 will not bow out quietly. It is one of the best action adventure titles ever to grace the Playstation 2 and, though still a little short for my liking, the nonstop action and extremely satisfying gameplay will certainly earn its place in any gamer’s collection.     There’s no doubting that the sheer quality of God of War was unexpected by many. A new franchise from a team of developers, whose previous work consisted of Twisted Metal Black and not a lot else - these were hardly the ingredients for a triple-A action adventure game. But with God of War , that is exactly what we got, and then some. Read more

    For the sequel to God Of War, the biggest challenge was improving on an action game that was damn-near perfect in the first place. But in sticking with the PS2 rather than wrestling with its new-fangled successor, the developers have created a sprawling, sublimely gripping adventure that’s superior to anything the PS3 has to offer.     A great game, with sweet gameplay and awesome combos/finishing attacks. The boss battle are great, storyline gripping and audio-visuals pretty good. The only thing that lets this down is that the gameplay can get repetitive, and button-mashing a-plenty. Read more
