Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam definitely feels different to what Bad Company 2 veterans are used to. And while not everything works with the new formula, it’s a refreshing change from its parent game that is, unlike a lot of DLC, worth every penny with hours of frantic gameplay on offer. Read more

    • Breaks the Bad Company 2 formula, Emphasis on infantry combat, Vietnam-era soundtrack, Four fantastic maps, New weapons and vehicles, Encourages teamwork
    • Minor balancing issues on certain maps, Questionable hit registry at times, Limited destructibility, Vehicles are a tad overpowered, Can get choppy when things go boom...

The campaign is a focused, largely linear adventure that takes you to a variety of gorgeous locations. The aforementioned arctic and jungle landscapes are standouts, but other places live up to the high standard. Driving a tank through a countryside in the full bloom of autumn provides eye candy and cannon fodder aplenty, while speeding around a dry seabed in an ATV brings strange sights, not to mention a particularly fierce firefight in the courtyard of an old fortress. • Destructibility is strategically powerful and immensely fun, Electrifying and addictive online multiplayer, Great campaign with witty characters, Beautiful, well-desig...
    • Occasional technical hiccups, Minor connectivity issues.

I would actually play through the single player campaign again, but the multiplayer really left me unsatisfied. I think that online play is a big thing for developers at the moment and BFBC2 doesn't quite do it for me, compared to it's current 'competitors'. Make your own decision on the game, but I suggest rent it, belt through the single player then dabble in some multiplayer and see what you think.... but don't expect theCAVman to be online to play with you. • Great Story - Massive selection of weapons - Vehicles and true guided weapons - Use of trajectory physics and the Coriolis Effect
    • Occasional glitches - Drawn out multiplayer games - No team balance in multiplayer

While 2008’s explosive Battlefield: Bad Company delivered the goods in its monstrous multiplayer mash-ups, the shallow single-player mode lacked the punch required to put it in the pantheon of first-person shooters currently lorded over by the Call Of Duty franchise. But in crafting a blaster that will appeal to both solo players and those who live their lives online, Bad Company 2 is dramatic step forward for DICE’s beloved franchise. Read more

So let’s face it; The Battlefield franchise by DICE will and always will be viewed primarily as a massive Multiplayer FPS, rather than an FPS with a great Single Player campaign. Ever since it took its first steps into the gaming world and set a standard for the scale of Warfare in FPS, everyone knows the name of the game, and everyone knows what it’s all about: multiplayer. Ok, gearing up for battlefield 3, thought I would check this out. Problems right off the top, first part of the game could not even knife the guy. So after a few updates and setting changes I'm in. Ok, now if I am to match this game to other FPS games, call of duty modernwarfare even counter strike for multi. Would I pick this to be better? NO. Haven said that I did like the destructable terrain, nice work Dice. That is the one thing I did love the most of the game. Read more
