    The name suggests more of the same but with more space and better value. Hard disk lag issues, video out controversy and just okay sound stop it from being a true classic though. Read more

    • Huge storage (who really has 40,000 songs?), Good value, Anodised aluminium front feels like quality, Video and photos are bright and clear, Interface looks even slick...
    • ... but marred by hard disk lag issues, Sound quality still, at best, mediocre, Cover Flow a case of form over function, New accessories required for video out

    Although we're pretty certain that Apple will get around to fixing the hard disk lag issue in the future, it's a pretty obvious bug to overlook and mars Apple's reputation for ease-of-use and design panache. Also distressing is the video out issue, which on the face of it seems like a case of price gouging. Overall, though, the new iPod is good value at AU$349 for the 80GB unit and AU$479 for the 160GB model. Read more

    The iPod still suffers the same fate as every other apple product, pathetic against bumps and scratches. My 512mb Sony Network walkman is more sturdy then this thing. Read more

Designed with an iPod classic feature and metal enclosure. Comes with patented Click Wheel for navigation with under lights for night time navigation. Able to play audio formats from AAC (16 to 320 Kbps), Protected AAC (from iTunes Store), MP3 (16 to 320 Kbps), MP3 VBR, Audible (formats 2, 3, and 4), Apple Lossless, WAV, and AIFF. Also has video playback and supports the following formats, H.264 video, up to 1.5 Mbps, 640x480 pixels at 30 fps and a Low-Complexity version of the H.264 Baseline Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48 kHz, stereo audio. Features

The Apple iPod Classic / 6th Generation can store up to 20,000 audio files (128-Kbps AAC format) or 25,000 iPod-viewable photos or 100 hours playback for video files. Comes with a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery to be charged via USB and has fast-charge time of about 2 hours (charges up to 80% of battery capacity) and full-charge time takes about 4 hours. Comes with a dock connecter, 3.5-millimeter earphone jack and ear phones. Supports Mac OS X v10.4.8 or later with an available USB 2.0 port and iTunes 7.4 or later installed. Also supports Windows Vista or Windows XP Home or Professional with SP2 or later. Comes with 90-day single-incident telephone support and 1 year limited warranty.
