    I've watched both the 1995 BBC version and this version of Pride and Prejudice and think both versions are wonderful! However I have to admit this version is my favourite, perfect casting for the roles of Elizabeth (Kiera Knightley) and Mr Darcy (Matthew Macfadyen)! Read more

    The 1995 version loyalists will not accept this movie - but I love both versions and I think Kiera Knightley does a superb job as Elizabeth and Matthew MacFadyen shows so much emotion - this movie adaption is less polished than the 1995 version and that's what makes it such a contrast.     It's never going to be easy to fit a concise version of Pride and Prejudice into a viewing that doesn't require overnight accommodation. This version is eminently enjoyable, and a family favourite. Read more
