    While not much has changed from other Ace Attorney games in the way the narrative unfolds--slow paced, linear, and heavily text based--Investigations is not a clone of its predecessors.     The Ace Attorney series is a name that it seems has only come to fame recently, although the games have been around for a while. Australia didn't receive the DS port of the first Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney until 2007, a full six years after the original GBA version hit Japan. Since then, we've had a further three games, and now the latest Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth lands in stores as the fifth instalment of the franchise, and its first spin-off.     The Ace Attorney series is definitely not for everyone - the bizarre characters and comedy can't make up for what some people will find an incredibly tedious gameplay experience. If you've never played a game in the genre before, Ace Attorney Investigations is a great place to start - you'll miss out on the back story and character development, but the relative ease compared to the Phoenix Wright games makes it an excellent starting point, and a great addition to the...
