We have taken hundreds of test photos with the NX10 and we love it. The reduced bulk and mass mean that it is better for casual shooting than lugging a full sized DSLR around. The price is a shock – so much for so little and with no suggestion of cost cutting in any aspect of construction or performance. This really is DSLR quality for not much more money than the best of the conventional compacts. Read more

Samsung is expecting big things of its ‘APS-C’ format interchangeable lens compact and aggressive pricing is going to help along with having a bigger sensor than the Micro Four Thirds models. Report by Paul Burrows. Since its arrival in the D-SLR pond Samsung has pretty much bumped along the bottom with its GX-series models which are carried over wholesale from Pentax designs. It’s not where the South Korean company is used to being. Read more

Samsung expanded the interchangeable-lens compact (ILC) camera category with the announcement of its mirrorless NX10 system in early January. Styled like a traditional DSLR camera, but significantly slimmer (thanks to a shorter flange-back resulting from the elimination of the mirror box), the NX10 competes head-to-head with the Micro Four Thirds models introduced recently by Olympus and Panasonic. I have owned my NX-10 for 2 months now I am happy with my purchase. The Good: This camera has many features including the ability to set the settings to fully manual for some great photo techniques. I have found the electronic viewfinder excellent in setting up the focus to compensate my reading glasses and it is easy to adjust the photo settings whilst viewing through it. Read more
