It's easy to not get excited at the prospect of reviewing yet another advanced compact digital camera, but as soon as we switched on the Canon PowerShot SX20 IS, we had a hunch that this digital camera would be fun to use. And we were right! The Canon PowerShot SX20 IS has a 12.1-megapixel lens and uses the DiGIC4 image processor, which is also used in Canon's high-end digital camera products. Read more

    • 20x zoom, f/2.8 aperture, excellent low-light performance, very good video quality, excellent macro shooting
    • Zoom is too jumpy, zoom lever too small, screen pops out toward the left, some chromatic aberration and lens distortion

Otherwise, little has changed in the new model. With its SLR-like styling and large hand-grip, the SX20 IS is targeted at photo enthusiasts who want a cheaper, more compact camera for travelling - or even everyday use. Read more

I got this camera few days ago and i am still amazed by features and excellent zoom capabilities. HD movies are just amazing, and you can use 20X zoom while filming,Image stabilization works perfectly so even with maximum zoom pictures looks sharp.I was in a dilemma what camera i should buy and between Panasonic Lumix FZ35 and Canon , i choose Canon and i am very happy with it.AA Batteries works very good, but you have to use Ni-Mh rechargeable.
