In terms of type, the Canon EOS 450D / EOS Rebel XSi is a digital, single-lens reflex, AF/ AE camera with built-in flash that uses SD memory card and SDHC memory card as its recording media. It has an image sensor size of 22.2 mm x 14.8 mm and is compatible with Canon EF lenses, including EF-S lenses, with Canon EF lens mount. As for its image sensor, its type is of a high-sensitivity, high-resolution, large single-plate CMOS sensor with a total number of approximately 12.40 mega pixels and 12.20 effective mega pixels. It has an aspect ratio of 3:2 (horizontal: vertical) and an RGB primary colour filter system with a low-pass filter located in front of the image sensor that is non-removable. Its dust deletion features include automatic sensor cleaning, manual cleaning sensor and dust delete data appended to the captured image. Besides that, it offers continuous shooting at a speed of up to 3.5 fps, up to 52 full-resolution JPEGs or 6 RAW images in a burst and reduced shutter lag time. Other features include a large 3.0 inch LCD monitor with 170 degrees wide viewing angle and Live View function, as well as fast 9-point AF system and two types of AF during Live View function. The Canon EOS 450D / EOS Rebel XSi also incorporates new advanced features which include spot metering, external flash settings on the camera menu and a new higher-magnification viewfinder.

    The 450D’s superb sensor makes it the best choice if quality is your priority. It doesn't beat the Sony A200 for value, but for the best quality below $1500 the 450D has the edge. Read more

    I bought the camera two weeks ago and just cant stop taking photos. Is surprisingly comfortable. Has a very accurate LCD screen. Menu is very easy and efficient. The standard lense is not great however, I strongly recommend. Read more
