Apple iPhone 3G 8 GB: An Apple a day, keeps the Blackberry away...
9 February 2011
Summary: I around a year ago I 'upgraded' to an iphone 3G from a previous rather faulty Blackberry Storm (a review of which can be seen in my other reviews), and well it is a welcomed improvement. The iphone 3G is effortless the menus are succinct and the interchanges between applications, webpages and other utilities is faultless - though slightly slower than the Iphone 4.
Summary: I was a proud owner of this phone before it was taken out of my coat pocket one night never to be seen again. The first lesson here then is to insure your phone - it's only when you lose it that you realise what you lost! Due to receiving this phone on a free upgrade by my company I did not have to bear the upfront costs for the handset, though I still believe the facilities it offers makes the upfront costs worth it.
Pros: Great range of facilities, ease of internet use, opportunity to learn through apps.
Cons: Visibility of received text messages, takes a little time to master the touchscreen.
iPhone... To i or not To i (!) that is the question!

Excerpt: "==BACKGOUND INFO:== My phone is CONSTANTLY glued to my hand!! For one reason or another (dropping it in water, standing on it, dropping it on the ground, dropping it down the toilet or simply an upgrade of my contract) I never kept a phone for long and have always been eager for my next phone as I get bored far too easily! HOWEVER with the iPhone I just can’t see myself getting bored! There's always a new app to download or a new way to customize ...
Pros: & # 149; Great texting facility& # 149; Endless apps to download& # 149; Great calling feature
Cons: & # 149;No Bluetooth& # 149;No video recording & # 149;No front mounted camera& # 149; Slow internet
Summary: I got my iPhone 3G in spring 2010 and haven't put it down since. Ease of use I was hesitant to buy a touchscreen phone because I thought it wouldn't work as well as a traditional phone keypad. How wrong was I? The touchscreen is loads easier to use - symbols are found much easier than having to guess which number it's on like on traditional pads.

Excerpt: "...go on itunes or the apple site e.g. games, maps, sat navigation downloads and more. One issue i did have is the sound quality is not that great for the ipod aspect of it and probably an ipod docking system or mobile speakers would help in this area. The utilities that came with the phone were useful e.g. screen wiper, sim card unloader and charger. The instructions were a bit vague, however, most of the information is on the Apple Website on applications ...
Pros: loads of applications, good signal, good for taking pictures and photo editing
Summary: Seriously addicted to my iPhone, i have had it for 6 months now and it has been totally awesome! I was a little concerned with it only being 8GB however as it turns out 8GB is a veeery large amount of storage space, I have loads of music, games and videos stored and tonnes of room for more. It is so easy and fast to access the web, unfortunately this means I am now totally addicted to facebook and the scrabble app (dont ask!
Pros: speed, ease of use, all apps are available for iphone
Summary: After declaring the iphone a "toy" I eventually gave in and purcashed one after realising I could feed my gaming habit for hours using the iphone! I've since realised that there's SO much more to this little guy and I hardly even touch a PC anymore! I can take care of anything including banking, bill paying, shopping, games, music and reading the paper! The calendar is a god send as I have a memory like a seive.
Pros: Games, picture quality, internet browsing, ipod
