Logitech’s Squeezebox Boom is a media streamer that combines all the functionality of previous products with an updated control system and a great set of attached speakers. Along with being far more technologically advanced, it’s smaller than your average ghetto blaster. It is just 330mm long, 127mm tall and 79mm deep. This means it will happily sit on a bookshelf or bedside table without taking up too much room. Read more

    • Impeccable network streaming implementation, very easy to use, great sound
    • A few niggles with the interface and set up

For the price, the Squeezebox Boom would want to do much more than simply wake you up in the morning with a buzzer or radio station – and it does. If you keep your music on your PC and also enjoy listening to internet radio , the Squeezebox will quickly become part of your daily routine. Once you’ve followed the series of steps to set up the unit it’s easy to use and move, and delivers surprisingly good sound in an attractive, compact package. Read more
